The Old Barn Function Centre Recently renovated, the nineteenth century barn is set
against a picturesque Marlborough vineyard, this slice of New
Zealand history is now available for hire for Weddings,
Corporate Functions and Private Celebrations. Ceremonies can be held under
the huge Oak tree in the vineyard. The Stable Room can seat up
to 90 people or Cocktail Functions 120 standing. Marquee options on the front lawn can complement larger
functions. Photos can be taken in the vineyard or down at the
river. Plenty of parking for guests cars. The Venue is situated
5 minutes south of Blenheim on SH1. |

History In the late nineteenth century the Marlborough racecourse was located across the road in Riverlands. This barn stabled horses for racing, carriage horses and farm horses. Upstairs was an old loft for hay & chaff. Horse feed was lifted up to the loft on a block and tackle, which was mounted on the outside wall. Today the loft is a modern two bedroom apartment which is available for hire, and the stable room is a function room. |
